Temporary Process Technician

Responsibilities:

  • Operation of equipment to manufacture thin film solar devices
  • Chemical processing of material including use of acids and solvents, as necessary
  • Material inspection using several types of test equipment to ensure specification compliance as needed
  • Communicate issues with maintenance staff regarding equipment
  • Accurate recording of process data into a database system
  • Assist in general clean room housekeeping of the production areas including tool wipe downs
  • Support and abide by the Company‚Äôs EHS requirements and procedures, which include compliance in the areas of water and air quality, chemical and waste management radiation control, industrial hygiene, and occupational safety
Qualifications:
  • Be able to handle shift work.  Able to handle short notice assignments
  • Must be able to work weekends, as needed
  • Ability to repeatedly lift 25-30 lbs
  • Basic computer skills including database entry, and MS Office Suite use
  • Previous experience in a technical manufacturing or production facility, preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well in the fast paced environment of a company with aggressive goals
  • Ability to take direction from engineering staff and follow written process flow changes
  • Ability to multitask with a high degree of flexibility and tolerance to ambiguity

Education and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or GE

  • Does it right the first time
  • Good analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Willing to work varying schedules
