Reliability Technician

Primary responsibilities:
- Transfer of product to and from environmental chambers and test stations
- Execution of Reliability testing (Spire, IR, IV, Wet Leakage, etc.). Testing requires lifting and moving solar modules through facility
- Update progress summary reports for ongoing testing
- Data entry into spreadsheets
- Operation of stereomicroscope and FLIR camera
- Raw data collecting from PV module experimentation
- Maintenance and upkeep of reliability lab and equipment
- Assist in miscellaneous reliability and module performance related activities
- Execute product engineering experiments with minimal supervision
- Installation and removal of modules from Outside Testing Facility (OTF)
- Fabrication of material test samples and test fixtures
- Fabrication and debug of electrical testing systems
- Monitoring of electrical test systems in progress and troubleshooting of any equipment that is not operating within specifications
To be considered, candidates must have the following background:
Education and Certifications
- Associates degree in technical discipline or two years of experience working in engineering or laboratory environment desired
Specific skills and knowledge
- Must have MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Previous solar and/or reliability experience a plus
- Highly motivated and detail oriented person with excellent organizational skills
- Experience with most or all of the following electronic test equipment: DMM, Oscilloscope, Curve Tracer, Thermocouples, Strain Gauges, Conductivity Meter, Power Supplies, Humidity Sensors, IV tracer, etc
- Data logging setup, data collection, and analysis
- Infrared Thermography (IR) experience is a plus
- Ability to lift 30lbs. repeatedly during the work day
- Labview experience a plus
