Maintenance Technician

Primary responsibilities:

  • Works closely with manufacturing and process groups to ensure correct operation of manufacturing equipment to achieve uptime and operational goals
  • Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on manufacturing and building equipment to include complex-state-of-the-art vacuum deposition equipment
  • Documents and maintains records of preventative and unscheduled equipment maintenance using CMMS maintenance software. To include documentation of parts, labor, and equipment downtime
  • Performs start-up, rework and or modifications to bring new equipment online as well as existing equipment up to date
  • Maintains high vacuum system components including cryogenic, diffusion and mechanical pumping systems
  • Performs technical training for company personal in all areas of building and manufacturing equipment
  • Performs training for new company personal during orientation on an as needed basis
  • Provides input and or recommendations for hiring of team members

To be considered, candidates must have the following background:

Education and Certifications

  • High School diploma.  Associates degree preferred

Professional experience

  • Electrical license a plus
  • 7-10 years of experience working with and maintenance of industrial vacuum equipment in a high volume manufacturing environment. Experience with PVD equipment preferred

Specific skills and knowledge

  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of vacuum equipment function, operation and control to include gauging, vacuum pumping and gas control
  • xperience with complex electrical control systems to include Omron, Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC architecture
  • Experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems a plus
  • Experience working with all aspects of facilities support equipment to include HVAC, DI water system, waste water processing, general, chemical and HEPA exhaust systems
  • Experience with medium voltage wiring a plus
  • Works with Environmental, Health, and Safety personnel to develop and maintain equipment safety procedures and practices
  • Must be PC proficient ability to work with MS Office and Project a plus
