Laser Systems Engineer

Primary responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional process teams to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Defining operational procedures for pilot and prototype laser processing tools.
• Develop next generation laser tool and process requirements.
• Working with EHS personnel to develop procedures to ensure health and safety requirements are met with respect to laser processes.
  

To be considered, candidates must have the following background:

Education and Certifications

• BS degree in Engineering or Physic.

Professional experience

• At least 5 years of manufacturing experience with industrial laser systems.
• Special consideration will be given to candidates with advanced degrees and greater levels of experience in high volume manufacturing.

Specific skills and knowledge

• Experience motivating and leading teams in a matrix organization.
• Highly motivated self-starter with a proven track record in the laser processing of thin films.
• Background in the laser industry.
• Experience with laser scribing or ablating photovoltaic or semiconductor thin films.
• New product development and introduction experience.
• Knowledge in automated controls systems and complex motion control systems.
